Ryanair's Sustainable Growth: A Focus on Training and Office Development
Renovation of the Ryanair Training Centre
Ryanair, Europe's leading airline, has demonstrated its commitment to growth and development through the refurbishment of its Training Centre. The project, valued at €20 million, involved the complete transformation of an existing facility at Dublin Airport. The refurbishment process involved the demolition of old office spaces and the construction of new offices, a kitchen area, and the installation of modern suspended ceilings and dry lining. These renovations also included new flooring, joinery, and decoration of areas, which were all completed to the highest standards.
Expansion of Ryanair's Office Spaces
In addition to the revamp of the Training Centre, Ryanair has also invested in extensive office fit-outs and fire safety upgrade works. The newly operational two-storey building supplements Ryanair DAC's existing corporate HQ and is situated strategically within Airside Business Park, close to the M1 motorway and Dublin Airport.
Ryanair's Airside Green Office Campus: A Sustainability Milestone
Ryanair's commitment to sustainability is demonstrated in the completion of its 10,700m2 six-storey office campus, Airside Green. This state-of-the-art development was designed to near Zero Energy Building (nZEB) standards, achieving a Building Energy Rating (BER) of A3. It integrates PV solar panels, electric vehicle charging points, ultra-low energy lighting, water-saving appliances, high-performance glazing, and high levels of airtightness.
A €50m Investment: Ryanair's New Dublin Training & Simulator Centre
Ryanair has also invested €50m in a new Dublin Training & Simulator Centre, in partnership with Airline Flight Academy (AFA). This state-of-the-art centre contains full-motion simulators, a cutting-edge cabin crew training and emergency evacuation device, and a specialist cabin fire training centre. Ryanair's investment in this centre is set to create over 5,000 new pilot, cabin crew, engineer, and ground operations jobs over the next five years.
